The Arctic Winter Games is a high profile circumpolar sport competition for northern and arctic athletes, and a multi-cultural exposition for the circumpolar world. 

The Games celebrate sport, social exchange, and culture while providing an opportunity for the developing athlete to participate in friendly competition and share cultural values of northern regions of the world.

ALASKA TO HOST 2024 ARCTIC WINTER GAMES

We are less than a year out of the 2024 Arctic Winter Games in Matanuska Susitna Borough! The 2024 Arctic Winter Games Host Society is getting ready to welcome visitors from across the circumpolar North as they prepare to host 2,000 participants, officials, coaches and mission staff for the first time.

The Arctic Winter Games celebrate athletic competition, cultural exchange and social interaction and features participants from Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Alaska, Kalaallit Nunaat, Nunavik (Northern Quebec), Northern Alberta and the Indigenous people (Sami) of Norway, Sweden and Finland.
